Alan Turner (pictured) helped set up Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation soon after his seven-year-old daughter died in 2004 of a cerebral aneurysm and he believes the resultant skills have positioned him perfectly for a role on the City of Greater Shepparton Council.
The role as CEO of the foundation has led to him working with all levels of government and a vast array of people within the corporate world and taught him the intricacies of sales and marketing, all things he believes will enable him to make the Shepparton a better place to live.
Allan admits to not being across every detail of the climate crisis but says that once on council it becomes an issue about which he will learn and at the same time share the conversation with his fellow councillors
